DALMATIAN WINE ROADS

Let's discover Dalmatia following the wine roads, which like the whimsical ribbon extend through the sunny islands, peninsulas and karst fields.

 

Day 1: France - Split
Departure to Split

Day 2: Split - Island of Brač
Departure by ferry to the island of Brač. The journey continues on winding road to the village of Bol, which is known for its beach "Zlatni rat". Photo break where we can admire the Dalmatian islands. In the vastness of the sky, the view shows vineyards bathed in sunlight. A visit to a winemakers association Bol and tasting of red wine Bolski Plavac.

Day 3: Island of Brač - Island of Hvar
Departure for Blace, former desert near the rocks. At the end of the 16th century Catholic priests, refugees from Poljice, found the refuge in the tufa caves and founded the monastery. Departure for the island of Hvar. Stroll through the wine trails, where you can see the work of winemakers. Tasting of white wine Bogdanuša and red wine Pharos. Visit to the town of Hvar known for its Arsenal - a credible witness of long maritime tradition, its cathedral of St. Stephen and city theater - one of the oldest in Europe.

Day 4: Island of Hvar
Visit to the Old Town, former Greek colony Pharos. We discover the castle Tvrdalj, which dates from the 16th century and in which poet Petar Hektorović resided. We continue to Svirče, a small picturesque town surrounded by vineyards. A visit to the house Plančić, vineyard owner and winemaker. Tasting of white wines Bogdanuša and Prč and red wine Darnekuša. We continue our journey to the town of Sveta Nedilja, situated on a cliff above the sea. From the house Plenkovic, vineyard owner and winemaker you can see one of the most beautiful panoramas of the region. Welcome drink (brandy) and tasting of white wines Zlatan Otok and Hvaranka, and red wine Zlatan Plavac. Winery tour.

Day 5: Island of Hvar - Island of Korčula
Departure for the Island of Korčula. A visit to the old town of Korčula, with the cathedral of St. Marko who is also the patron of the city. We continue to Lumbarda, the traditional town of wineries and stonemasons. Visit to stonemason atelier of self-taught artist. Tasting of white wine Greek.

Day 6: Island of Korčula - Peninsula of Pelješac - Dubrovnik
Visit to wine-growing areas Čara and Smokvica. Tasting of white wines Pošip and Maraština. We embark the boat for town Orebić located on the Pelješac peninsula. A visit to the Franciscan monastery from the 15th century, with a view of the entire archipelago. We continue to winemakers association Potomje, tasting of red wines Dingač and Postup. Departure towards small medieval town Ston, famous for its walls and marine oysters.

Day 7: Dubrovnik
Tour of the Old Town, which is on UNESCO's list of world heritage. Then we proceed to Gruda in Konavle area, the southernmost vineyards in Croatia. Visit to winemakers association and tasting of white wine Dubrovnik Malvasia.

Day 8: Dubrovnik / France
